House Hunting!

Friday night we went house hunting and I thought I'd share with you the houses that we looked at.

House #1
This was the house that Justin and I both liked the best. It was a very nice house, with a nice size backyard (and already fenced in for Zoe!). The negative of the house was that it sat on the corner of the entrance to the housing addition. We didn't get to see this house because the owners took it off the market. The house had been shown like crazy and the owners were exhausted. So this one was off the list before we even began.

House #2

This house was in the same addition as the first house. Justin and I also really liked this house. We actually met the owners who told us they just replaced the air conditioning because it went out three days ago. The house was in great condition. The owners, who originally built the house, had taken very good care of it. The down side of the house was that the living room was a little small.

House #3

Seriously...I don't understand what the owners of this house are thinking! This house was immediately crossed off our list! The owners left the walls and doors all dinged up, the carpet had stains, and there was a hole in the shower! Do they really think a potential buyer wants to put in a new shower immediately! The hole went straight through the wall! Somebody obviously lost their temper!

House #4

This house was very nice. The owners had taken good care of it. On the bad side, it fell into the cookie cutter house that looks like all of the others in the neighborhood. Not to mention, that this neighborhood was a little further out from town than what I wanted to be.

House #5

This house had a nice size back yard, but lacked inside space. It was also very overpriced.

House #6

This house was very nice! Also very well taken care of by the owners. Had many great features that Justin and I both liked. The down side to this house was that their wasn't much of a back yard at all. When you stepped outside, you were pretty much staring into your neighbor's house. However, this house is located right behind our current house.

House #7

Also located in our current neighborhood...and they just lowered the price! Too bad we didn't get to see it. The house currently has renters and they don't want the owners to sell it. So while the the renters knew we were coming, they left town for the weekend AND didn't leave the key for us to see the house. Wonder how much longer they will be there?

That's a quick run through of each house! Houses in Hendersonville are selling FAST with many houses only staying on the market for only 14-25 days. Obviously the market here is making a turn around! So what do you think happened? There were a few possibilities from this list. Did we make an offer or do you think we're still looking?

I'll keep you posted...
