By the Water where the River Gets Wide

On our way back from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas, we decided to stop by the Hoover Dam and take a  tour.  While 9/11 put a stop to the dam's hard hat tour, we were able to go inside some parts of the dam.

Ever want to be in two states at the same time?  Here's the state line between Nevada and Arizona.

Turbines that run the dam

Here is the tunnel that Chevy Chase ran through in Vegas Vacation.  It's pretty tiny, and no, there is no doorway at the end of this tunnel.

Make sure you rub the toes for good fortune!

So sad. :-(  I'm such a sucker for things like this.
