Then took a canvas from a bag there by his side

While we were home, Justin went through some of his artwork from college. Who knew Justin was such an artist! :-\ For those of you who don't know the story, Justin originally went to Huntington College for computer graphic design. While he was told that the majority of his classes would be based on the computer, he later learned that he would have only 3 computer classes and the rest would be fine arts. Let's just say that classes like drawing and painting are not his strong points. While he didn't receive too many A's on his projects, I will give him an A for effort and creativity. Here are a couple of his pieces:

The first picture is his canvas painting of a fruit basket. That's definitely a banana, but the other fruits are questionable. Justin says that they are red apples and a pear. Justin's mom and I were thinking more red peppers and a green apple.

The second picture is his painting of elevator doors complete with the up & down button. Yep...that's right...he painted elevator doors. His project was to paint something that he could replicate on the other side. He felt that an elevator door would be the easiest thing to replicate. You have to give him credit for his creativity. The third....well, he decided to wait on the elevator doors.

I will admit that his charcoal work is much more impressive than these two paintings!
